Assessment Template CSV Import

Learn to import templates from CSV easily onto the Osano platform. See the below guide for instructions on how to import this data, use it in your assessments, and edit it within Osano's template builder.

How do I import templates from CSV?

First, navigate to the templates page located under Assessments in the left-hand navigation panel:

Then click the 'plus' icon at the bottom right of the list of templates to open the import templates from csv modal.

Note: You must create a CSV with all of the required headers below exactly as they are written. Columns marked as optional can be blank. Imports with additional rows and/or incorrect naming conventions will fail to be uploaded.

Use our CSV template to get started importing templates into Osano.

Section (Required) - The name of a templates section. To group questions together make sure that the section names are the same

Question (Required) - The title of the question.

Required (Required) - If the question is necessary or not.

NOTE: The value must match one of following: TRUE, FALSE

Answer Type (Required) - Type of question.

NOTE: The value must match one of our supported answer types: CHECKBOX,DATE, EVIDENCE_UPLOAD, SELECT, RADIO, TEXT

Options (Optional) - Question answer choices. Only used for answer types that can have options (CHECKBOX, SELECT, RADIO).

NOTE: The values most be formatted like "1,2,3,4,5"

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any limits on the number of templates that can be imported?

There is no limit on the number of templates that can be imported. However, the CSV file size is restricted to 1MB.
